Communications Officer - Bali (Full-time)

About Us:

The Bali Children Foundation (BCF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality education and support to underprivileged children in rural Bali, Indonesia. We believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and empowering children to reach their full potential.

Position Overview:

As the Communications Officer at Bali Children Foundation, you will be pivotal in advancing our mission through strategic communication and technical management. You will report directly to the Communications Manager, working closely together to ensure that our organization's communication and fundraising efforts are efficient, impactful, and aligned with our core values.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage task management tools to facilitate efficient project coordination.

- Create, curate, and schedule engaging content for our charity's official social media channels.

- Organize and store content assets in Google Drive and a social media content planner.

- Assist the Communications Manager with executing communication strategies for charity fundraising events and campaigns.

- Maintain and organize assets in a central Google Drive to ensure easy accessibility for the team.

- Monitor and respond to messages and inquiries on external channels, including social media and email.

- Design and manage Canva templates for various communication tools to maintain a cohesive brand identity.

- Collaborate closely with the tech support team to ensure effective technical management of fundraising platforms, email marketing, automation, and CRM.

- Provide additional technical support and assistance as the Communications Manager requires for internal and external communications.

Qualifications:

- Exceptional organizational skills.

- Self-motivated and able to work proactively.

- Strong initiative and the ability to follow instructions.

- Proficiency in English, as English is the primary language used at the office.

- Use a professional demeanour as you interact with donors and funders.

- Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Proficiency in the mentioned tools, including Canva and Google Drive.

- Keen attention to detail, excellent memory, or exceptional organizational skills.

- Residing in Bali and Indonesian nationality.

- Passion for our mission of helping children and promoting education.

EFL & STEM Teacher - Nusa Lembongan (Full Time)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher to join our team and teach English as a Foreign Language (EFL) and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) to underprivileged children in rural Bali. As an EFL teacher, you will play a vital role in developing students' English proficiency, while as a STEM teacher, you will ignite their curiosity and passion for these important subjects through project-based learning tailored to the needs of the community.

You will be responsible for helping deliver engaging and interactive lessons, fostering a love for learning, and helping students reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and age-appropriate EFL and STEM lessons to children from diverse backgrounds.
Employ a variety of teaching methods and techniques to cater to different learning styles and needs.
Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to improve their learning outcomes.
Report and communicate student progress and performance to BCF management, relevant class teachers, and school headmasters to help students with their learning and development.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a supportive and enriching learning environment.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on the latest teaching methods and approaches including training from BCF teacher facilitators and/or other relevant professionals.
Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate the cultural and linguistic context of rural Bali.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Education, English Language Teaching, or a related field.
Experience in teaching EFL or STEM/STEAM-H (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics, and Humanities) subjects is desirable.
Strong understanding of child development and pedagogical principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Flexibility and adaptability to challenging and diverse teaching environments.

Domiciled in Bali or willing to relocate to Bali at your own expense
