Charles Darwin University Scholarship

Wednesday, 24 April 2013 | Stephanie Orr

In March, Sally Hodgetts from the Office of International Studies at Charles Darwin University, came to Bali to interview potential candidates for the Frans Seda Scholarship - these included Bali Children Foundation's sponsored children.  This Scholarship is for a 10 week intensive English Language course.  Sally and Bali Children Foundation's CEO, Marg Barry, travelled to our Northern projects where she met the Head of Perampas, Pak Dwi and talked to some of the younger students in the classrooms.

Sally was introduced to the senior students who were eligible for the Scholarship. Following discussion and interviews, Candra Dewi was selected to receive the scholarship and will attend the University in Darwin for the 10 week course.

Candra's award is well deserved.   Formerly a BCF sponsored student, Candra is now one of a handful of girls currently studying for an Engineering Degree where there are over 500 students on the course.  Her hard work and outstanding results have put her in the top five students. Our congratulations to Candra and our thanks to Sally and the Frans Seda Scholarship program.  Click here for more information on the Frans Seda Scholarship.

Sally just managed to fit in a visit to the GoStudy Fun Day with over 100 children at the Canggu Club hosted and organised by the GoStudy students.
